A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB) and the Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD).
The MoU, which has been signed by Chairman Dr. Vahdettin ERTAS on behalf of the CMB and Managing Director Awang Yusof bin Hj Abd Rahman on behalf of the AMBD during the COMCEC Forum meetings and Conference that the CMB and Borsa Istanbul are co-hosting in Istanbul, aims to foster the cooperation and exchange of information between the authorities of the two countries. With this MoU, a framework cooperation including channels of communication, mutual understanding and exchange of regulatory and technical information have been established and it has been considered as an important step to enhance mutual dialogue and specific cooperation opportunities between respective authorities in the next term.
In his speech at the signing ceremony, CMB Chairman Dr. ERTAS stated that CMB attaches great importance to international relations and increases its efforts of cooperation with other countries and expressed that the CMB is very pleased that a bilateral cooperation was established with Brunei. Besides, he stated that the MoU signed with Brunei is the 35th one made for this purpose and that this collaboration will continue with an increasing trend.
