Selcuk joined DB London in 2000 with a responsibility to lead DB’s investment banking efforts in Turkey. Prior to that, between 1998 and 2000 he was an Executive Vice President at Finansbank Group in Turkey, responsible for investment banking and project finance. Simultaneously, he served on the board of Finansbank Group’s asset management business. Selcuk spent his earlier career between 1992 and 1998 with ABN AMRO Bank and ABN AMRO-Rotschild working out of Amsterdam and London focusing on Emerging European countries, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Turkey, Russia, Romania and Kazakhstan.

Throughout his career Selcuk has been involved or lead various large sized debt, equity offerings or M&A transactions in all of the countries mentioned above. Having dealt with all the Governments and the top corporates in the above mentioned countries, as well as Western corporates wishing to do business in the region, Selcuk has accumulated an extensive track record of closed transactions as well as a strong understanding of market behaviour and the regulatory issues in Emerging Europe, Turkey and the Balkans. In addition to being one of the senior members of DB’s Central Europe and Middle East management team, Selcuk has been focusing on Turkey heavily since 2000. He has been one of the supporters of Bender Securities acquisition and he has been sitting on Bender’s board since 2003, and DB Turkey’s board since 2006. Selcuk has an MBA in Finance from University of New Haven and a BA in Economics from Istanbul University.
