Press Release
As a result of the audits carried out by the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (the Board); recently, there have been increasing evidence showing that residents of Türkiye have been contacted via telephone, e-mail, social media platforms, and by making promises that investing in the capital market, especially leveraged trading transactions, publicly known as forex would lead to high yields of return. It has been determined that an unexplainable rate/amount of return was promised and money/asset transfers were requested to individuals or institutions claimed to be licensed/authorized.
In accordance with the Capital Markets Law No. 6362 (CML), investment services and activities in the capital market can only be carried out by institutions authorized by the Board.
Information about which institutions are authorized by the Board to provide investment services and activities in the capital market and the content of the operating licenses of these institutions can be accessed through the links below on the Board's website:

Engaging in the capital market activities without authorisation from the Board, constitutes a crime, and in the second paragraph of Article 109 of the CML, it states that those who engage in unauthorised activities in the capital market will be punished with imprisonment from two to five years and will be subject to judicial fine from five thousand days to ten thousand days.
The Board files a criminal complaint with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in order to ensure the punishment of persons who engage in the capital market activity without permission and in relation to those who participate in this crime by allowing them to use their bank accounts/phone lines and/or by promoting/marketing such activities. It is respectfully announced to the public that such attempts, which constitute a crime, should not be given any respect so that investors do not suffer any loss of rights or victimization.
Announced to the public.
